  • Where are we located?

    Ashfield Hostel is located on D’Olier Street between Trinity College and O’Connell Bridge (check out our location & directions page).

  • Is there a curfew?

    Ashfield Hostel remains open 24 hours. We operate a security pass system to gain entry.


  • Are there bathrooms in all the rooms?

    Yes all our rooms, dorms and private rooms are en suite.


  • What are the check-in and Check-out times?

    Earliest Check in time is 2pm. Check out time is 10.30am at the latest.  If you arrive before 2pm and your room is not ready yet, you can leave your luggage in our left luggage facility (which is free of charge) or our security lockers and then check in later.


  • Is there Wi-Fi internet access?

    Yes, free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the building in all rooms for guests with laptops, smartphones or tablets.

  • Are there parking facilities?

    Unfortunately Ashfield Hostel does not have its own car park. There is a multi-storey car park located on Fleet Street (5 minute walk from Ashfield Hostel).


  • Is there any luggage room?

    A luggage room is provided free of charge for early arrival and late departures.

  • And are there any security lockers?

    Yes, we have a range of electronic lockers available for a nominal fee, which depends on duration and locker size. (Check out prices on our facilities page).

  • How can I pay?

    We accept cash (euro only) and all major credit and debit cards.


  • What is the cancellation policy?

    For individuals, we require at least 48 hour’s notice for a cancellation (Late cancellations or no show will result in the card-holder being charged for the first night’s stay). For group-bookings we implement specific cancellation terms.

  • Is there bed linen included?

    Bed linen is included (pillow, bed sheet, duvet cover)

  • Are there female only rooms?

    We offer a number of female-only dormitory rooms and private rooms at Ashfield Hostel. If you require a single-sex room and you are booking on-line, ensure that you click on the female-only option. Failure to do so will result in a mixed room booking.

  • Is there an age restriction?

    Whilst we do welcome children under 16 to stay at Ashfield Hostel our company policy states that they may only stay in private rooms or dormitories for sole occupancy, if you reserve a dorm bed for someone under the age of 16 we will cancel the reservation upon arrival and you will incur a cancelation charge of 1 night’s accommodation.

  • Do you take group bookings?

    Yes, for groups of 10 or more please fill out the form on our groups page and our group booking team will contact you.

  • Are there disabled facilities?

    Whilst disabled guests are very welcome at Ashfield Hostel, we do not offer specific facilities to cater for disabled guests.

  • Are there cooking facilities?

    We provide a fully equipped self-catering kitchen. Guests are expected to respect the rules of this facility i.e. wash up after themselves and leave the kitchen as they found it.

  • Are towels included?

    Towels are provided in private rooms and available to rent for a €1 charge to guests staying in a dorm.

  • Any things to note?

    You must have valid photo ID (Passport or valid driver’s license only) and credit card in that same name to check in. We are a tourist hostel for short term stays only. (Maximum stay: 9 nights)
